  • Hi Thierry,

I think it's better to ask this question via the developer mailinglist: svxlink-devel@lists.sourceforge.net
Sorry, no idea at the monent. I generate the wav's online or with linguatec and change the samplerate with audacity and never had any problems :)

  • BTW: changing samplerates is quite easy:

    Code
    sox original.wav -r 16000 destination.wav

    to re-sample a file to 16k.
If you do not have any success, please send me your original file.

  • there are some wav-file-formats defined, which have an additional comment and information area. These audio files are not accepted by svxlink.
Be sure not to have these comment fields inside the audio file:
Hve a look at binary file with hex editor. You will find - as an example:

    Code
    00000000 52 49 46 46 a0 af 01 00 57 41 56 45 66 6d 74 20 |RIFF....WAVEfmt |
    00000010 10 00 00 00 01 00 01 00 40 1f 00 00 80 3e 00 00 |........@....>..|
    00000020 02 00 10 00 4c 49 53 54 18 00 00 00 49 4e 46 4f |....LIST....INFO|
    00000030 49 43 4d 54 0c 00 00 00 53 53 42 20 32 6b 37 2d |ICMT....SSB 2k7-|

    The only allowed portions are:
RIFF WAVEfmt and the data part starting at 0024h with the word "data" and followed by the audio data

In the above example you can find an additional part "LIST" at position 0024h, which is not recognized by svxlink. The "data"-part starts at 0044h!
